

Bybeth was born on May 6, 1946 in Paris, Texas to her parents, Frederick Byers and Mary Helen Rose Byers.
She is survived by Shelton Stogner her husband of 55 ½ years, her sister Tracy McClearin and husband Tim, Nephew Ricky Byers of Dallas, Texas, nephew Michael Hawkins of Houston, Texas, nephew Chris Hawkins of Seminole , Texas, nephew Matt McClearin of Birmingham, Alabama, Nephew Chris McClearin of Austin, Texas, nephew Mark McClearin of Dallas, Texas, niece Johnia Hawkins of Seminole, Texas, niece Brandi Byers of Richardson, Texas, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and brother Rick Byers.
Bybeth and Shelton were married on August 13th 1966 in Paris, Texas. Theirs was an enduring relationship in which the flame of love burned brighter each year they were together. They were united in body, heart, and soul for over 55 years. It was a love story for the ages.
Bybeth taught elementary school for 32 years in Richardson, Austin and Plano. She was a gifted teacher and was named Plano Teacher of the Year in 1987.
She loved mountain hiking, traveling, gardening, decorating, all sorts of board and card games, helping others, and hanging out with family and friends.
Bybeth was a kind, considerate, and loving person who will be sorely missed by family, friends, and anyone who ever had the good fortune to meet her. She was the model for what a human being should be.
Now she has been carried away on the wings of angels and we must bid her farewell, but our love for her will never diminish.
A memorial gathering and celebration of Bybeth's life will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 1:30 PM at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home, located at 2128 18th Street, Plano, Texas 75074.
