

A Memorial Service & Celebration of Carl's Life will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Gateway Church, located at 7125 Legacy Drive, Frisco, Texas 75034.
A light reception with coffee & pastries will begin at 10:30 AM, 30 minutes prior to the service.
Please don't limit yourself to black attire if you'd prefer to celebrate Carl with something more colorful.
Inurnment will be held at a later date at Saint Ann’s Cemetery in Cranston, Rhode Island.
Carl was born February 21, 1966 in Dorchester Massachusetts to Carl Joseph Battaglia and Ann Phyllis Caprio Battaglia. Carl attended elementary school in Germany and Spain. He graduated from St. John’s High school in Houston Texas. After high school he went on to graduate from the University Texas with both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Finance and Real Estate. He continued his education throughout his professional career, acquiring many additional certifications as an expert in the field of Environmental, Health and Safety and was most recently head of EHS at Cushman & Wakefield Commercial Real Estate Services.
Carl was a man of many interests. He was a very active member of his church, Gateway Frisco. He was a voracious reader and student of history. He enjoyed good wine, good food, old time Blues music, and hiking in the great outdoors, as well as traveling to new destinations. He enjoyed Photography and coin collecting. He was happiest spending time with his daughter Cara, his family and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr Carl Joseph Battaglia and grandparents; Charles and Rose Battaglia; Albert and Louise Caprio.
Carl is survived by his mother Ann Battaglia Fischer and husband Bradley of Shenandoah Texas, daughter Cara Grace of Plano Texas, Sister Dr. Carla Pulliam and husband Mark of Southlake, Texas and nieces Elena, Alexis, nephew Bates Pulliam, Aunt Carole Battaglia of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, Aunt and Uncle Lois and Fred Rao of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, Cousins Katherine Alepa (husband John) also of Holly Springs, North Carolina, Christopher Rao (Wendi Germeroth-Blodgett) of Marshall, Virginia, Stepmother Nyla Battaglia (partner Dr David Zarin), Step sister Erin Jones (partner Rick Vidrine), Step Brother Adam Walsh (wife Natalie) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who fondly called him Uncle Fuzzy: Matthew Rao, Emily Rao, J R Alepa , Anthony Alepa, Blaise Alepa, Julia Jones, Emerson Walsh and Beckett Walsh.
Carl was one of a kind. He brought a voracious energy and quest for knowledge to everything he did. He will be dearly missed.
