Carol Elizabeth Ward

Carol Elizabeth {Altro} Thomas, Lampe, Ward, 68, of Frankston, TX passed away March 21, 2012. She was born in Lockport, NY on September 27, 1943 to the late Harold & Wilma Addie {Johnson} Altro. She was also the step-daughter of the late Ethel Boyer Altro. After moving to Plano, TX in the late 1960's, she was employed by and retired from Plano Bank and Trust, where she dedicated 23 years. After retirement, she and her husband moved to Frankston, TX, where she loved working in her yard, thrift store bargains, all her animals, and visiting with friends and family. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Melvin T. Ward, {Pops} of Frankston, TX. Her son Douglas E. Thomas and his wife Tammy {Ellis} Thomas of Farmersville, TX. Her daughter Carrie Marie Thomas of Copeville, TX. Step-daughters: Deborah Sue Diekie of Oldsmar, FL. and Patrica Ann Fugitt of Westlake, LA. Her grandchildren: Monica, Addie, Haleigh and Levi, 4-step-grandchildren, & 8 step-great grandchildren. Her brother Ray T. Boyer and his wife Linda Boyer of Lockport, NY., along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff and care givers of "Vitas Hospice Care" of Greenville, TX. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 26th, 2012. There will be a 10:00am viewing, 11:00am memorial service, both held at First Baptist Church of Farmersville, 124 S. Washington St, Farmersville, TX 75442. Assoc. Pastor John Foster and Pastor Perry Eaton will be officiating.
