Carrie is survived by her soulmate, Terry Reeves, two sons, Kyle and Matthew, two grandsons, Logan and Bowen, her parents, Philben and Judy Sims, two sisters, Angel and Kristy, and countless friends, relatives, and colleagues who loved her dearly.
Growing up in Lisbon Falls, Maine, she came to know the Lord at a young age. Maine always held a special place in Carrie's heart and she treasured her hometown friends and classmates.
She was a free spirit in a world of 'norms' and through her career in healthcare, she found opportunities to share hope and courage to those who were struggling with disabilities and were sometimes terminally ill.
Carrie will be remembered best for her ability to hear and march to a different drummer, a gift that truly came from God and inspired many to overcome adversity and find joy in life.
A celebration of life will be held at her parents' home in Wylie, Texas beginning with a spiritual service at 10:00am and followed by a celebration of life intended to honor her unique zest for life.
