With great sadness, the family of Casey Lee Wynn of Wylie, TX announces his passing on April 9th, 2019, after a sudden and brief battle with cancer.

Casey was born on October 28th, 1961 to James Thomas and Billye Watt Wynn of Mesquite, TX as the fourth of five children. He leaves behind three sisters: Jamie Walker, Wendy Richardson, and Nanci Herrage, as well as several nephews -- Robby and Kyle Herrage; Andy, Ashley, and Adam Walker; and Chad and Bryan Wynn. He is preceded in death by his older brother, Scott Wynn.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of thirty-five years, Angie, and their two children, Keaton and Alissa. Casey grew up in Mesquite, TX. He graduated from North Mesquite High School and attended Eastfield College.

Casey worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier in Dallas for thirty-three years until his retirement in February 2018.

Casey had a lifelong passion for music and devoted much of his time to writing lyrics and composing songs. He loved to capture his travels through photography and never went far without his camera. He knew how to brighten a room with his grand sense of humor and made sure everyone around him had a good laugh. He loved road trips, camping, golfing, Texas Rangers baseball, and relaxing on his back patio with a drink and cigar in hand.

Services will be held on April 20th, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church located at 3160 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, TX 75074. A reception will follow for family and friends in the Grand Hall. An online memorial tribute is provided by Ted Dickey Funeral Home at www.dignitymemorial.com.

Thanks be to God for allowing Casey to touch the lives of so many as a son, husband, father, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, co-worker, and cherished friend.

Sweet Casey. A man who in all my years I never once heard utter a poor word of another. Full of laughter, kindness, and such a gentle spirit. Who even when after years of distance always welcomed you in with open arms and love. You will be so greatly missed.

My heart hurts. We've had some great memories & now, plans that will never come to fruition. I was blessed to have spent many years of camping with my family & Casey, Angie & their family. Playing all kinds of board games was always so much fun!! Casey was smart & loved to read. History was one of the subjects he enjoyed the most. He love to take pictures & was so excited to share them with me. I'm going to miss his sense of humor & his hugs. He hugged just like our dad. I'm going to miss you more than you know! I love you & I'm so relieved you aren't in pain anymore.💕
