I was looking up Cherie tonight to attempt to reconnect and I was just gob smacked beyond words to find this. 

Cherie was truly one of the kindest people I have ever met. We worked together at MLAM- Private Portfolio in the late 90’s , early 2000’s. She encouraged me to try and go for the position I was temping for when I was on paper not remotely qualified to have. However I’d been temping so long and was doing the job she pushed me and pushed me until I went for it and got the job. Cherie was that way : always a cheerleader encouraging people at work to reach and be better. 

We lost touch over the years and went in different directions and we did reconnect about 6 years ago but we we’re both  in such different places I let the reconnect fall short.I regret that now.  My heart is just beyond saddened this incredible person is no longer here with us. 

I was one lucky lady to have known this truly kind soul. She loved her boys and ex husband beyond words . And showed by example what it was to be a good kind person and her word was her bond. RIP sweet lady. 

I found out that Cherie Theriot Muñoz passed away This news finds me in total disbelief/ shock and sorrow. 
God was kind enough to let me know this woman since we were 16yrs old, I have never,  and never will forget this beautiful soft spoken girl working in the cosmetic dept at Kmart way back when. I looked so forward to her asking me to bring stock to her to put out. I was so tongue tied I could hardly speak to her. 
But as life went on we had a relationship that was more wonderful than I knew, and I blame that on my age for letting you go back then. 
Fast forward to 25yrs later and we found ourselves together again. She and her husband raised a family that included 2 wonderful young men that she idolized, and was so proud of that she spoke of them every day of our 12 yr second time around relationship. 
She also had the utmost respect for her ex husband, who I never met but he is what I consider to be a GREAT MAN as well . 
He was always her ROCK and my hat is off to him for what he did for her always. 

She loved her Mother, her Dad, and her step Mom so much and they influenced her life in a very positive light more than they will ever know.
Her brothers and sisters always made her smile, they were great siblings to her.
Our second time around relationship was filled with more good times than not, and I feel very fortunate to have had that time with her. 
It is very unfortunate that we both agreed to end our relationship a little over 2 yrs ago. 
But there is no way to stop loving someone that you were truly in love with. And I was and will always be truly in love with this woman. She will always have a piece of my heart and will never be forgotten or gone in my heart and mind. 
This is the way I will always remember her.
Her smile, her values, and the love she showed others is something that this world needs more of. 
I’m so very sorry for your way to early calling by God. 
I know Heaven is a little brighter with you there though .

It breaks my heart to think that my dear sweet friend of 40 years is no longer with us. I have so many wonderful memories, laughing, crying, celebrating  and sharing a life long friendship together. We never had 1 single argument. Cherie was a soft soul with a heart of gold. To know her was to love her. She was the first person that I would call to ask for advise or help. She was caring, patient, loving, kind, thoughtful, considerate, and very soothing to my soul. Everyone felt the same way about Cherie. She loved her sons Brandon and Corey more then anything in the entire world and barely a conversation could go by without Cherie bringing them up. She was a wonderful mother, sister, daughter, and friend....I thank God for sharing her with us for all these past years...she was one of Gods angels on earth and now she is one of his angel in heaven.
