Christopher James Drury was born on September 28, 1985, in Plano, Texas and passed away on March 4th, 2026. He was born to his Mother, Vickie Bilberry, Father, Ronnie Drury, and graduated from Plano Senior in 2004.
As part of the graduating class of 2004 at Plano Senior, Chris developed his love for music, audio-video projects, and a growing passion for animals. With his friends, he was part of two (2) garage bands, playing the guitar, but really knew how to tear up the drums.
Chris began his veterinary career as an early teen by assisting his mother working in the same field of work. He later enhanced his Veterinary Technician skills by attending Collin County Community College as well as much on-the-job training. He often trained and exhibited leadership for many fellow co-workers, supporting them to grow to their potential, then keep going.
The center of Chris’s world was his two children, Cole (17) and Nalyn (16). Everything he did was focused on their safety, well-being, and happiness. Whether he was dancing with Nalyn, challenging Cole in a game of chess, or helping both with creative projects. Chris adored his children and did his very best for them to have a secure home and safe environment.
He loved spending time in nature, challenging himself with new recipes, reading sci-fi and other fiction, learning new skills, building things, creating music, and could sing well – (but he didn’t show that to many people). He was always encouraging friends, co-workers, and family to grow and keep improving. He always took care of anyone around him whether he knew them or not. Chris truly made this world a better place. He is GREATLY missed.
Some of his other interests included any art or film by David Lynch (especially Twin Peaks), cheesy 90s movies and T.V. sitcoms, music, music, music, video games, and his favorite color was green. He prided himself in his goofy, yet intelligent commentary, and unfortunately for his children, was extremely proficient at bad “dad jokes”.
Chris is Survived by his mother, Vickie Bilberry, 2 children, Cole Drury (17), Nalyn Drury (16), his best friend and partner, Carma Johnson, his good-lookin’ dog, Copper, and many long-time (and new!) friends and co-workers that he made a tremendous impact on.
Preceded in death by his Father, Ronnie Drury, his children’s mother Kelly Kenemer, and his handsome cat, Tommy.
