Mrs. Corinne Ellen (Bybee) Simpler, passed away at age 76 on July 4, 2019, at home. Corinne was born on July 28, 1942, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Robert and Elizabeth Bybee. She graduated from Midland High School and attended the University of Texas at Austin where she earned a bachelor’s degree in history and math, along with a teaching credential. She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and served as the president of the chapter in her senior year.
Corinne was married to Bill Simpler for 55 years. She is survived by her husband and her children: Will Simpler, Rachal and her husband Rich Wiski, Trent Simpler and his wife Rhiannon; six grandchildren: Lauren Simpler, Olivia Wiski, Sophie Wiski, Georgie Simpler, Max Simpler, Charli Simpler; and by her sisters Betty Verplank and Joan Bybee.
Corinne loved travelling and visited more than 28 countries and six of the seven continents. She was a docent at the Dallas Museum of Art for 20 years, where she especially enjoyed leading tours for school children. Her passion was the art of world cultures, particularly painting and pottery. Corinne also enjoyed spending time with family and would spend summers travelling the US, visiting her many relatives as often as she could.

Friends and family can pay their respects at the memorial service on Saturday, July 27 at 2:00 p.m. at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, 2128 18th Street, Plano, Texas, 75074. A reception will follow.
