Dale Brian Chisamore was born on February 23, 1943 in West Carthage, New York, a son of Raymond Whitford Chisamore and Jane (Ornedorff) Chisamore.
He married Joan Lynette Libbey on June 7, 1969 in Okinawa, Japan while serving in the Air Force.
He is survived by his wife Joan Chisamore of Plano, Texas.
He had two older brothers Douglas E. Chisamore and Donald W. Chisamore, both of whom passed before Dale.
Dale and his wife Joan have two sons, David Wesley, living in Denver, and Dean William who passed before him.
He loved and enjoyed his extended family: sister-in-laws Pat and Patty; nephews Michael, Brian, Mathew, Aiden, and Jim; nieces Sherry, Barbara, Marisa, Nora, Cheryle, Dorothy, and Lizzy.
Dale was in the Corps of Cadets at Virginia Polytechnic Institute where he earned his BS in mathematics. Then he earned a MS in at University of Southern California in systems management. Finally, he earned a PhD in management science, at the University of Texas at Dallas.
He was a captain in the United States Air Force, where he served as a navigator on C-130s. In Vietnam, he received the Distinguished Flying Cross for actions in combat.
For twenty-eight years he worked for Electronic Data Systems as a systems engineer and manager. He worked with large banks and financial institutions around the world and served on the board of directors for the EDS Credit Union. Dale finished his career as a senior lecturer at The University of Texas at Dallas teaching courses in Management Information Systems.
Dale had many interests and hobbies, he loved playing Bridge with friends, traveling the world, golfing, and birding. He was a kind and thoughtful husband, father, and friend and will be missed by family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home, located at 2128 18th Street, Plano, Texas 75074.
The funeral service for Dale will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 2:00 PM also at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Plano Mutual Cemetery where Dale will be laid to rest with his son Dean in the Chisamore family plot.
