After Danny graduated high school he went on to attend Texas Tech, majoring in Journalism, as his dream was to be a sports announcer. He was an amazing baseball player and was a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Texas Rangers. Danny had a love for music and enjoyed going to concerts. He also enjoyed traveling. He was a member of The Living Waters Worship Center.
Danny’s zest for life, combined with an excellent sense of humor, brought happiness not only to himself but everyone who knew him. He loved playing practical jokes and pranks on people. Danny also had a heart of gold. His love for his family ran deep and everyone could always count on him. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He was preceded in death by his devoted mother, Roxanne (Risley) Loya in 2016. Danny leaves behind to cherish his memory: sisters and brothers-in-law, Elisa & Russell Thompson of Grand Prairie, TX and Amy Hubbard & Fernando De Los Santos of Allen, TX; brother, Clay Straley of Arlington, TX; nephew and nieces, Kenny Johnson, Kaelyn Thompson, and Leslie De Los Santos; and aunt, Renee Risley of Abilene, TX.
