Dong is survived by his wife, Lan Thi Kieu; his oldest daughter, Ngoc-Dung Nguyen, her husband, and their two children; His daughter, Ngoc-Nhung Nguyen, and her two children; his daughter, Ngoc-Bich Nguyen, her husband, their two children; and his son, Nam Nguyen, his wife, and their three children.
