Douglas E. Zavodny

Doug was born on July 18, 1968 to Eugene and Laural Zavodny in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After he graduated from Glenbard North High School in 1986, he studied finance at the University of Illinois at Champaign, Illinois. After graduating with a degree in finance, he moved to Dallas and worked for ST Microelectronics for over 15 years.

In 1998, he met his wife, Catheryne, and they got married in 2000 in Dallas, TX. They had two children, James ( 2006) and Mark(2009).

He retired so that he could spend time with the boys and trade stocks. He and the boys went on extensive camping trips every summer. They explored most of the National Parks and Monuments west of the Mississippi including Yosemite, Yellowstone, White Sands and Mt. Rushmore.

Doug’s Christian faith was important to him.

Doug was predeceased by his father, Eugene. He is survived by his wife, Dr. Cathy Zavodny, their 2 sons, James and Mark, his mother, Laural, and his sister, Madeline and husband George, their two sons, Joseph and Corbin, his uncles and aunts and many cousins.
