Edward Otto Krack

He was born on July 8, 1925 in New York City to Otto and Hilda (Muller) Krack. Ed graduated from Hastings High School in the Class of 1943, and worked for Otis Elevator in Yonkers, NY for 40 years.

He married Carol Bouck on October 16, 1948. Ed served as the treasurer of First Reformed Church of Hastings for many years. He was also the treasurer of the Hastings Historical Society and a lifetime member of the Westchester County Coin Club. Carol and Ed moved to Plano, TX in 2012 to live closer to family.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carol, his brother Hubert C. Krack, and grandson Timothy Dudko.

He is survived by his three children, Mary Ann Dudko of Plano, TX, Peter Krack of Juneau, AK, and Ellen Esselstrom (Tom) of Folsom, CA; five grandchildren, Christopher Dudko (Katherine), Jonathan Dudko (Rachel), Carolyn Reilly (Bevan), Claire Esselstrom, and Drew Esselstrom; and four great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Dudko, Oliver Dudko, Nora Reilly, and baby Reilly due late May.

A memorial service for both Carol and Ed will be held at First Reformed Church in Hastings later this spring. Contributions in Ed’s name can be made to the Hastings Historical Society (407 Broadway, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706).
