

Faye was born on January 22, 1927, in Lewisville, Arkansas, the beloved middle child of nine siblings—seven brothers and two sisters—born to Oad and Josephine (Maunz) Beckham. She grew up surrounded by her brothers Sam, Larry “Eugene,” Paul, Oris Bob “O.B.,” Robert, Charles “Dudley,” and Rodney, and her sister Merritt “Delois” Brooks.
Faye was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church of Plano for many years, where she formed lifelong friendships and lived out her deep faith. She was also a devoted military wife to her husband, Donald McClain, supporting her family through wartime and moving all over the world. Her strength, adaptability, and unwavering love provided a steady foundation for her family through every chapter of life.
Faye was a woman of many talents and passions—an accomplished porcelain and ceramic painter, skilled cake decorator, creative quilt maker, and avid Macy’s shopper. A true artist at heart, she had a keen eye for beauty and a love for gold artistry.
A proud world traveler, Faye embraced life’s adventures with enthusiasm. She loved cooking for her family, staying active through exercise, and most of all, spending time with those she loved. Known for her warm personality, quick wit, and ability to make anyone feel like a friend, Faye never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Eugene McClain, and her brothers and parents.Faye is survived by her son, Micheal McClain and wife, Luanne, of Plano, Texas; daughters, Patti Fuller of Camby, Indiana, and Deborah Roan of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Leigh Kistner and husband, Steve; Morgan Elkins and husband, Austin; Cheryl Hillock and husband, Andrew; Travis Roan and wife, Sarah; Kyle Roan and wife, Haley; and Brandon McClain; along with numerous great-grandchildren who will carry forward her love and legacy.
Faye’s strength, grace, and joy for life touched everyone who knew her. Her family and friends will remember her as a strong, loving, and endlessly creative woman who brightened every room she entered.
A viewing will be held on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, 2128 18th Street, Plano, TX 75074. A Celebration of Life will be held, Monday, November 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Plano, 3160 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, TX 75074.
