Like many, I knew Glen via various online radio forums. He was always generous of his time, kind and full of helpful advice.

We are all richer for having known him.

Glen has always been a person who freely shared his time and expertise with me.  I think he and I shared a common passion in our radio collections.  He was always free with his expert advice which I free drank in.  If I can possibly be of assistance to the family in dealing with his radios, please let me know.  It would be an honor.

It was only a few days ago when I was telling my wife how many great hams have helped me out with my new (old) Collins radio equipment.  Glen was first and foremost among that group.  I came to know him about ten years ago when I was first getting back into radio and over the years every comment, suggestion and bit of advice he made was pure gold, and the only advice I ever needed! 

 As a silent key he will be missed but his  support to our amateur radio community will be a cherished remembrance of his technical knowledge and fellowship.

May his soul be bound up in the bond of eternal life.

I never met Glen, but I felt like I knew him from the hundreds (thousands?) of his radio-related emails that I saw. He helped everyone with sound, knowledgeable, friendly technical advice. He was a real pillar of the vintage radio restoration and operation world. His well-written on-line articles helped me and probably thousands more. RIP Glen. 

So sorry to hear about Glen. He worked on several pieces of Collins gear for me over at least 20 years. My daughter lives in Dallas so it was easy to take him gear and go pick it up when he was finished with it.
He always fixed what I took him and some of the gear was a challenge! He was working a Collins 516F-1 Power Supply when he passed. No one else could seem to fix it, but he was willing to give it a try. I will miss him greatly, not just for his repair work, but as a friend. He was a very special man.

So sorry to hear of Glen's passing he was a wonderful guy. I only met him a couple of times at HAMCOM in Plano. But, he offered a lot of help and inspiration on repairing several old radios I have. 
He was a regular on qrz.com. And I know there are a lot of people that will miss his advice and wisdom.

What a tragic loss. Glen was a great guy and ham radio expert who was always ready to share his knowledge with others. May God bless Glen and his family. RIP silent key.

He was a well known and respected radio amateur that gave me and others very helpful advice. He is now known as a "Silent Key", the key refers to a Morse code key that radio amateurs used to send Morse code.
