

Glenna Mae Feagins was freed from her earthly bounds on September 11, 2023, at the age of 95, passing into heaving to join her beloved husband, Arthur Edward Feagins, Jr. Glenna was born in Alliance, Nebraska on January 10, 1928. Glenna met Arthur at Alliance High School and eventually married in 1948. The newlyweds moved on several occasion for Arthur's schooling and service to the nation in the Korean War. After settling in Lincoln, Nebraska, Glenna gave birth to Brian and Eric in 1960 and 1961. In 1968, the Feagins family moved to Garland, Texas. Glenna was a very active volunteer activities in the PTA, St. Paul's United Methodist Church, and Garland Memorial Hospital. Glenna would ultimately hold many positions with the church including President of the United Methodist Women. At Garland Memorial Hospital (later, Baylor Garland Hospital), Glenna held a position of President of the auxiliary and also spent years writing, always with Arthur's help, the Auxiliary newsletter. Also, she became well known for her work in the hospital gift shop and was often seen at the helm of the popcorn machine. Glenna also was a member of the Garland Federation of Clubs ultimately holding the office and later honored as Senior Citizen of the Year in 1999. After retirement, Glenna and Arthur enjoyed trips to Switzerland, Germany, Alaska, and Hawaii, often traveling with their beloved friends from Cornerstone United Methodist Church. Glenna and Art were married for 74 years until Art's passing in 2022. Glenna is survived by her sons Brian and Eric, brother in laws, Roy, Jerry, and Glen Feagins, sister in law Martha Rankin, granddaughters Corrin Bettis and Ashley Feagins, grandson Colin Feagins, great granddaughters Zoe, Sierra, and Lilli, Many nieces and nephews and her "adopted" children Janice, Jim, Nathan, Nicole Pitts, Alicia and Mike De-Liva.
There will be a memorial service to celebrate Glenna's wonderful life on October 14, 2023 at 10am at Ted Dickey Funeral home in Plano, Texas. She would love to see her friends and family celebrating her life in her favorite colors purple and blue.
