Helen V. Longley

Helen V. Longley, age 94, of Valrico, Florida, formerly of Sarasota, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 in McKinney, Texas. She was born on April 21, 1919, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to the late Peter and Josephine Vogel. Helen had a career in teaching and was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Teachers Sorority. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Longley; son, John T. Longley; and sister, Josephine Blersch. Helen is survived by her children and their spouses, James & Barbara Longley and Susan & Gregory Marohnic; grandchildren and their spouses, Dr. Christopher & Lisa Marohnic, James & Erica Marohnic, Kristen & Major Kristofor Stark, Robin & Major Daniel Fitzpatrick; five great-grandsons and two expected great-grandsons. In honoring her wishes, Helen will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Connecticut. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
