OBITUARY

James Medford Culver

James Medford Culver (Jim), 90 of Plano, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020.

Jim was born on January 22, 1929 in Ashford, Alabama.

He came from humble beginnings in the small town of Ashford, Alabama where he was a high school football star and served as a Red Cross Life Guard. He then went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Navy four years during the Korean War aboard a U.S. Curtiss Class AV4 as an electrician. In 1954 Jim moved to Dallas where he met his loving wife Virginia whom he married in November of 1955. Jim was a loving devoted father. He worked at Texas Instruments for 37 years in the linear circuits division where he became superintendent. Jim was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd & 4th degree for over 30 years and a member of the Color Corp for 22 years as well as the Degree team for 25 years.

Jim leaves behind his family – Wife Virginia, five sons – Jerome, Kevin, Ronnie, Jeff(Fiance Jennifer) & Randy – Daughter in law Colette - Five grand children – Stephen, Stephanie, Danny(Wife Brittany), Shelby, Kevin.

Services will be held Monday, February 3, 2020 at St. Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church, located at 1201 Alma Drive Plano, Texas, 75075.

The Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:00 AM.

The Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM, followed by the internment of the ashes in the church columbarium.

Lastly, a reception will follow, all at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.
