Janyce was born October 11, 1950 in Baltimore, MD to Kermit & Sheila Claussen. She married Douglas Molepske December 26, 1970 in Stevens Point, WI, and the family moved to Plano, TX. Janyce spent early days of her marriage as a stay at home mother, proudly raising five boys who would all go on to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. She decided to return to school and received her bachelor's degree in Historical Studies from The University of Texas at Dallas and her master’s degree in English Education from the University of North Texas. Janyce loved and proudly taught at Plano East Senior High School for over 20 years where she was honored to teach each student in her care. She was a valued member of the faculty and was once recognized as Plano East’s Teacher of the Year. In teaching, her biggest reward was coaching the Academic Decathlon team. Over the years, the team won SuperQuiz once and placed highly in multiple state competitions, and she always proudly displayed the medals she won with her students.
Words people always used to describe Janyce were: Kind, Loving, Caring, and Compassionate.
In her retirement, her greatest joy was being a grandmother to her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing games, doing science experiments and going to the zoo with them. She also took great care in keeping up with her children as well as her friends from high school. She thoroughly enjoyed attending Bible Study at Hunters Glen Baptist Church and teaching English as a Second language. Janyce is survived by her five children: Steven Molepske, Timothy (Sara) Molepske, Gregory (Lindsay) Molepske, Jeffrey (Samantha) Molepske, and Eric (Sarah Mattoni) Molepske, and ten grandchildren: Kendall, Madison, Austin, Jackson Carl, Preston, Jackson Dean, Mallory, Ryder, Harrison, and Grant. Janyce is preceded in death by her loving husband Douglas D. Molepske and her parents Kermit and Sheila Claussen.
