A “Celebration Life Reception” will be held: 4:00-7:00 Thursday, Dec 5, at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home in Plano, TX.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian, after of 53 years of marriage and a grandaughter. He is survived by a son and 4 daughters; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Jay was born in Jefferson, Iowa. After graduating from the Iowa State, he got his Master’s Degree from University of Missouri and worked many years as a food chemist and food plant manager. He and his family moved to Plano Texas in 1973 where he resided since.
His great pleasure was sailing with his many friends at the Dallas Corinthian Yacht Club, where he was a member for nearly 4 decades. He loved racing as well as serving a term as Commodore of the club and serving on the board of the Dallas
Corinthian Educational Fund (DCEF).
