Jessie Helen Hendrick

Jessie was born on August 8, 1935 in Lubbock, Texas. Jessie grew up in Wichita Falls and went on to graduate from Wichita Falls High School in 1953. Jessie made her way to North Texas State Teachers College in Denton, Texas (now The University of North Texas) and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 1957. Jessie then taught elementary school in Wichita Falls for over 20 years, a role she loved. Jessie proudly encouraged her students to learn and was a positive influence for many children. Upon retirement, Jessie lived in Amarillo and ultimately settled in the Dallas area in 1990. Jessie had an incredible sense of humor and could always make everyone around her laugh. She was very competitive and loved to play games with all of her friends at Lynridge.

Jessie is survived by her brother Jack Hendrick of Plano Texas, Niece Becky Crawford of Edwards, Colorado. Great Nephew, Reed Garber and wife Audrey Garber of London, England. Nephew’s David Hendrick, wife Jo Hendrick and great Nephew’s Robert, Mark and John Hendrick of Dallas Texas. Daniel Hendrick, wife Shannon Hendrick of Plano Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Alton and Helen Hendrick of Amarillo Texas.
