John Marion Allen

John Marion Allen was born on November 11, 1940 in McKinney, TX to Joe and Beth Allen. John lived his whole life in Texas, which is where he met his wife of 51 years, Janet. Together they successfully raised three sons. John was a mechanical designer by trade. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons as well as going bowling and flying remote control airplanes. John was also a member of the Plano Masonic Lodge # 768 and was a member of the Scottish Rite as well. John is survived by his wife Janet Allen, as well as his sons; David Allen and wife Rene, John Mark Allen, and Scott Allen and wife Angela. John leaves behind 4 grandchildren: Reece, Sydney, Courtney, and Ryan Allen; 2 siblings, Judy Roycroft and Jerry Allen; and also his mother, Beth Allen. A funeral service will be held for John at Ted Dickey Funeral Home on December 19, 2012 at 11 AM with a visitation taking place the night before from 6-8. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to ask people to make donations to the MS Society.

We were in junior high school when I first met John. Many happy memories, times together with our families when our children were babies. John was a wonderful friend, I know he will be missed. Love to his family.

My heart is heavy with the loss of Uncle Johnny. I wish my children had been able to meet him! He fought a tough fight with his illness and now he is at peace. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you!
