John was a writer, editor and photographer. He was a journalist for newspapers in Kansas, Nebraska and Caracas, Venezuela. For the past 18 years he was a writer, editor and photographer at the corporate headquarters of Hunt Consolidated Inc., Dallas, Texas.

His family learned from sharing his hobbies, which included computers, photography, camping, bicycle riding, bike-motorcycle-vehicle repair, hiking, reading, and enjoying music and movies. He is deeply missed by his family and many friends, who will forever feel his friendly, kind and gentle presence.
