

Karen F. (McGlasson) Stack, 75, of Carrollton, TX found Heaven on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Prestonwood Rehabilitation in Plano, TX. She was born on November 1, 1939 in Summer Hill, Illinois, the daughter of Virgal and Frances (Duff) McGlasson.
Her proudest moments were those involving her six children and nine grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, painting, reading, gardening and playing the harp and piano. Pets were a great love of hers also over her life.
Karen earned her Associates Degree in Nursing at Illinois Valley Community College, Oglesby, Illinois in 1988. She was an RN at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mendota, Il. before moving to Tennessee, Louisiana and finally Texas. She enjoyed the most years of her Nursing career as a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) at St. Patrick’s Hospital in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Karen is survived by her sister-in-law, Josephine McGlasson of Sheridan, Il.; daughter-in-law Jennifer Bagby of Sandwich, Il.; her children, Melissa (Slam) Buffington of Denton, TX; Beth (Jay) Waddell of Kansas City, Mo.; Tim (Chris) Bagby of Sycamore, Il.; Amy Schafroth of Carrollton, TX and Rachel Bagby of Byron, Il.; eight grandsons and one granddaughter.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Ron McGlasson and son Michael Bagby.
According to Karen’s wishes a graveside service will be held at a later date at the Sapp Cemetery in Summer Hill, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Karen’s name to either the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or the Lone Star Labrador Rescue at www.LoneStarLabRescue.org.
