Kathryn Jean Capelle

Kathryn Capelle died on September 15, 2025 in Dallas, Texas. Her final days and hours were surrounded by those who loved her. While known as Kate, Kathy or Kathryn to many friends and family, she was deeply loved, cherished and highly respected. Her legacy of love will continue in all who knew her.

Kathy was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Marion and Henry Capelle on February 18, 1950. Growing up the family often traveled to Wisconsin where most of her aunts, uncles and cousins still lived. Kathy’s ashes will be returned later to rest with her parent’s grave in Kiel, Wisconsin.

Kathy attended Austin College in Sherman, Texas where 5 family members attended this college over the years. Her last job was with Outmatch where she was the Senior Marketing Manager.

Kathy was a beautiful soul. She loved to travel, read books, cook, and journal. She loved her friends and family and enjoyed time spent with each one. Bible study was a daily practice for Kathy and her faith was strong and sure.

Kathy is survived by her brother, Steve (Sandra) and her sister Holly (Kevin). She dearly loved all her nieces and nephews across Texas, Oklahoma, S. Dakota and Arizona. Kathy always wanted stories of what they were doing and loved looking at photos.

A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held later for friends and family where we can share memories and stories and honor her remarkable life.

Kathy will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her kindness, strength and love will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege who knew her.
