Keith Allen Leicht, 54, was called to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 30, 2026. He likely passed away due to a heart complication with final test results pending. His last day with us was spent as usual: a good workday that started bright and early, a prayer and family meal, and a walk after supper. We treasure every moment that we had with him.
Keith is survived by his beloved wife Shauna of 27 years and his four children: Nathan Leicht, Slade (Kylyn) Leicht, Tara Leicht, and Natalie Leicht. He is preceded in death by one child lost through miscarriage. He is also survived by his parents John and Linda Leicht, sister Christine Vandergriff, brother-in-law Mike Vandergriff, niece Cara Willis, nephew Caleb Vandergriff, niece Courtney Butcher, and beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Keith dearly loved his family, friends, and co-workers. He was a steadfast, caring husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He thoroughly enjoyed his work as a mechanical engineer for 29 years, wanting to be in the office with his friends. He dedicated much of his time to his church and his children’s Christian school: serving on church and school boards, volunteering to coach school sports teams, and tackling whatever project his wife roped him into. Through his career and his church, he made some of the most wonderful friends imaginable, and they are now tremendously blessing his family at this difficult time.
Regardless of all of Keith’s earthly blessings, he always maintained his faith in Christ as his highest blessing and wished nothing other than to impart the same faith to his children, family, and friends. For however wonderful his earthly life was, he now enjoys immeasurably more wonders, blessings, and glories, from now until eternity with his dearly beloved Lord and Savior.
The visitation and funeral service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 1701 E Park Blvd, Plano, TX 75074, on Saturday, August 8, 2026. The visitation will take place from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, and the funeral service will take place at 11:00 am, with a light luncheon reception afterwards in the gym. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to give to a scholarship fund that has been set up in honor of Keith’s life of service to his children’s school, Faith Lutheran School. The link to donate can be found below.
