LaVerne Elwell

The Heavenly Hosts were joined in July 14, 2011 by Hazel LaVerne Elwell. LaVerne was predeceased by her Father, Tollie, and her Mother Wynona. Also waiting above were her Brother, Gene and Sister, Julie. LaVerne is survived by her Brother, Wayne Elwell of Hideaway, nephews James Dooling of Austin, Steven Elwell of Dallas, Chuck Elwell of Georgetown, and David Elwell of San Antonio. She also leaves nieces Debbie Lee of Richardson and Marie Dooling of Plano. LaVerne also leaves behind some very special life-long friends; Mollie and James Franklin and Beth Buxton, all of Richardson; Real friends were the same as family to LaVerne. Laverne lived a triumphant Christian life, while made her disability from the dreaded childhood disease of polio seem insignificant. She achieved university degrees through the Masters level in her chosen field of education and served more than thirty five years in the education and counseling children. Services will be held on Saturday July, 16, 2011 at 10am at the First Baptist Church in Richardson, TX, followed by interment in Plano Mutual Cemetery, in Plano, Texas.
