Our hearts break for you and your family, Terrie, at the (very quick) passing of Kent. We don’t have all the fun memories so many of our stake friends have of Kent, but we do know he was a good and kind man. He always said hello at church. He always asked Chad how he was doing, and was genuinely concerned about him, which he so greatly appreciated. And now that we know Kent loved lizards, that better explains Chad’s feeling a kinship with him! :) Kent being gone will leave a big hole in our ward family. We’re grateful to know you both, and to have you as examples of people we aspire to be more like. We pray for your peace and comfort at this very difficult time.

Much love,
The Potters

Kent, my dear friend, is gone. He was one of my best friends since arriving in Allen twenty years ago. We laughed together, mourned our respective losses together, learned and shared experiences of life, work, trials, family experiences, and daily living. I greatly appreciate your being my dear friend and while I know you are happy to be reunited with your son, I mourn your loss and happy and friendly demeanor. We will look after your sweetheart and family. Thank you for having an impact on my life, your service, example, honoring your priesthood and for your leadership.

Love ya brother!
Clark

Oh my heart. Seeing Kent's picture... How can he just not be here? This is tougher than saying goodbye to my mom in March... I think about all the Ryans all day long, hoping that in the midst of hurt you guys can have moments of peace and joy. So many memories: Kent and the boys knocking over Terrie's couches with gun battles, Garrett and Jeremy building Legos, Lydia (or was it Michaelann) teasing Kent that as his beard turned from red to white "would the end result be PINK?!"
It's just hard to have to wait so long to see him again... Gone too soon.
Love love love from Nan Gardner

To Terry and family,

I just heard the news last night and wanted you to know how very sorry we are to hear this. Kent was a wonderful man, a role model, a man of faith, and a great friend. We enjoyed many years together at Fujitsu and shared so many laughs and tears together. May God be with you now and always.
