Logan Moore Hines, III, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, and Friend,
departed this Life for the Next, after a valiant battle with cancer. Logan joins his Father, Mother, and Grandparents in the Hereafter.
Logan was born in Denver, Colorado in 1939. In the mid-1940’s the family moved, traveling by train, to Lancaster, Ohio. There in Lancaster, Ohio the Hines Family lived, grew up, and eventually moved away.
In 1948 Logan attended for one year Millersburg Military Institute in Kentucky. Logan graduated from Lancaster High School in 1957. He and the family for many years attended St. John’s Episcopal Church, where Logan served as an Acolyte, a Cross Bearer, and assistant to the Rector at Sunday Services.
After graduation from high school, Logan received a nomination to the United States Military Academy at West Point. He attended the New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico, graduating in May 1959. Logan married the beautiful Connie Cummins of Columbus, Ohio October 7, 1960. He also attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Logan worked in the family business for several years in Lancaster, then worked for Anchor Hocking of Lancaster, accepting a territory position in the great state of Texas.
Logan leaves behind Connie, his wife of 54 years, his four children Logan Moore Hines, IV, Marlene Dee Hines Lundy (Mark) of Islamorada, Florida, Duncan Raymond Hines (Teresa) of Celeste, Texas, and Sherri Lynn Hines Kindhart (John) of Lake Dallas, Texas, his sister Susan Hines Butler (Alman), his sister Anne Hines Corn (Jerry), and his brother Scott Steven Hines (Nancy), grandchildren Christine Renee Lundy, Erica Dee Lundy, Farren Moran Lundy, Zachry Raymond Hines, Haley Rochelle Hines, Shelby Raelynn Kindhart, John Chase Kindhart, Brence Hines, Morgan Jacobsen, and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Logan’s life will be held at Logan and Connie’s home at a later date. Memorials can be made to WoundedWarriorProject.org

Logan was always loved and will be deeply missed by all.
