Maria Theresa Lovett

Terry was born on October 3, 1929 in Amarillo, Texas.

She is survived by her son: Kevin Lovett and his wife Susan Lovett of Allen, her three grandchildren: Suzanne Lovett, Kevin Lovett Jr., and Steven Lovett, and her great granddaughter Madeline Grace Lovett. She is also survived by one brother: Severo A. Garcia of Porterville, CA.

Terry had her bachelors and master’s degree in music education from Texas Western College. She was a retired teacher after 39 years with the El Paso ISD. She also volunteered with Boy Scouts of America , for the Yucca Council, as well as with parents without partners. She sang with the El Paso Chorale. Most recently she volunteered with Allen senior center.

Terry greatly enjoyed singing, traveling, and painting.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 2:00 PM at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen where she was an active parishioner.

A visitation will be held the evening prior, Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ted Dickey Funeral Home located at 2128 18th Street, Plano, TX 75074.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

An entombment committal service will be held at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in El Paso, Texas on Tuesday, Decemeber 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM.
