

Mary Diane Kearney was born on December 2nd, 1943 in Iowa City, Iowa. Mary was born to Marian and Harold, her loving parents who went on before her. Mary and her family eventually made their way to Kansas where Mary met her husband, John “Jack” Kearney. Mary and Jack were married for 35 years before Jack passed away. Mary helped to raise her and Jack’s two sons, Dutton and JP. Mary enjoyed reading and owned every James Patterson book that she could find. She also loved antiquing and embroidery. After Jack’s passing, she started her own embroidery and monograming business. For Mary’s last nine years she was cared for dearly by the wonderful staff at Baybrooke Nursing Care Facility. Mary will be dearly missed by Dutton, and his wife Janie, Kearney as well as JP, and his wife Lori, Kearney. She will also be missed by her grandchildren from Dutton and Janie: Madison, John, Paul, Faith, Dorothy, Julia, and Maria and her grandchildren from JP and Lori: Ella, Jack, and Olivia. Mary will also be missed by her surviving brother, Richard Dutton. There will be a visitation held at Ted Dickey Funeral Home on Sunday, September 20th from 6-8 and a service on Monday, September 21st at 11.
