

Mary was born on August 26, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of Paul and Elvira (Zammit) Cutajar. Mary’s parents immigrated to the U.S.A. from Malta. Mary lived in Malta for several years as a child and was always very proud to be Maltese. She married George Henry Manson on September 4, 1948 in Brooklyn. He preceded her in death on December 19, 2000. Together, Mary and George raised their 7 children with a strong belief in God and family. They were taught family came first and they could always depend on each other.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 6:30 to 9 PM at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home located at 2128 18th Street, Plano, TX 75074.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 9:45 am, St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plano. A graveside service will follow at 1:15 PM at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with George.
Survivors include: Sister: Sister Evelyn Cutajar reside in Jamaica, NY; Brother Oliver and wife Dorothy Cutajar reside in Huntington, NY. Children include: Son Paul and wife Dawn Manson reside in Brooklyn, NY; Daughter Anna and husband Dennis Stewart reside in Powell, OH; Daughter Mary A. Manson resides in Houston, TX; Daughter Pamela and husband Mauricio Frye reside in Frisco, TX; Son George and wife Patricia Manson reside in Wylie, TX; Daughter Ellie and husband Mark Peacock reside in Plano, TX. Survivors also include 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mary was also preceded in death by daughter Denise Manson Price on May 25, 2013.
Mary volunteered many hours at Jackson Elementary, where her children attended. She was very active at her church, St. Mark's, where she taught CCD with her husband for 8 yrs. She also was a Eucharistic Minister, and belonged to the Rosary Group. Mary loved to bowl and was on several leagues during her life. She crocheted baby blankets for underprivileged babies. Mary also volunteered at Medical Center of Plano Hospital visiting the sick. Above all, Mary dedicated her life to raising seven children and multiple grandchildren.
