It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Maxine Aretes Little, who peacefully went to be with the Lord on June 9th 2025, at the age of 86. Born on September 5th 1938, in Dallas, Texas, she lived a life full of love, grace, and unwavering faith.
A woman of deep conviction and compassion, Maxine Little dedicated her life to her family and faith. As a devoted Christian, she was a shining example of sacrificial love, kindness, and humility. She raised five children and two beloved grandchildren, providing them with not only a nurturing home but a strong foundation rooted in the Word of God. Her ability to balance motherhood, work, and her creative passions made her an extraordinary matriarch.
A gifted artist Maxine found beauty in the world around her and expressed it through painting and needlepoint creations. Her art was a reflection of the vibrant spirit she carried within her.
Her intellect was as remarkable as her artistry. Graduating North Dallas High School at the age of 16, she was a trailblazer, proving that hard work, determination, and faith could overcome any obstacle. Her fluency in Spanish allowed her to connect with a diverse array of people, always eager to serve and uplift others.
One of Maxine most defining qualities was her generosity. She was a sacrificial giver, often sharing what little she had with those in need. Whether it was a hot meal, a kind word, or a listening ear, she always found a way to help others, embodying the true spirit of Christ. Her selflessness touched the lives of many, and her legacy of service will continue to inspire all who knew her.
