

Mildred Marie Blair passed away August 5, 2025, and went to be with her Lord. She liked to be called Milly. She was married to her husband Joe for 68 years, and they loved listening to bluegrass and Scottish music, worshiping at their church, and travelling all over the world.
Faith was an integral part of her life. She had a very deep and personal relationship with her God and Savior. She loved to serve in various lay leadership roles. As a member of First Methodist Church in Plano, TX, she led Vacation Bible School, was a choir mom, and was involved in the formally United Methodist Women, now called United Women of Faith.
Later in life she joined St. Matthews Episcopal Cathedral. There she served in areas of hospitality, leading Evening Prayer, was a member of Daughters of the King and served as a Lay Eucharistic Minister. Her prayers were daily and unending.
The Order of the Eastern Star and The Social Order of the Beauceant were also a large part of her life. She served in many offices such as Worthy Patron and Grand Marshal. She loved being a part of these organizations and formed lifelong friendships.
She was an avid quilter, an artist with all things textile and beyond. She was a colorist and craftsman. She could sew and make anything. She could knit, crochet, embroidery, needlepoint, she was talented at it all.
She aimed to live as the hands and feet of her God. She was resilient and steadfast in the all of her life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Weldon (Joe) Blair Jr., her daughter, Angela Rae Blair, and her mother, Edna Wofford.
She is survived by her son, Weldon (Joe) Blair III and his husband David Tijerina, Her daughter, Connie Karleta Sales, and her husband Bill Sales, her brother Frank Locker and his Wife Carol Locker, Her niece Stephanie Hall and her husband Jay Hall with nephew Hunter Hall, and her niece Cheryl Blair and her partner Rafael Ramirez.

Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday October 10th at St. Matthew Episcopal Cathedral, 5100 Rose Ave. Dallas TX 75206.
