March 14, 1943 – March 1, 2018
Mrs. Nancy Carol Welch departed this life and entered into her Heavenly home on Thursday, March 1, 2018. Nancy was the second and youngest child born on March 14, 1943 in Ardmore, OK to Mr. Andrew and Mrs. Ellen Faye Puckett. Nancy received her skilled nursing certification through Garland Memorial Hospital, and retired in 2011 after over 20 years as a skilled nurse. She loved to travel taking many cruises over the years, watching movies on Netflix, shopping and spending quality time with her best friend, Carolyn Howard, being “Nana” to her grandchildren, and especially loving on her fur baby, Dallas.
Left to cherish to Nancy’s loving memories are her husband, James Welch; sons, Mark Welch, and Todd Welch (Jodi); grandsons, Jimmy Welch (KaLeigh), and Todd M. Welch (Brooke); sister, Mary Jo Cobb, and niece, Lisa Cobb in addition to many other family members and friends.

Nancy was my cousin and was 4 years older than me. I used to love going to her house when I was little. My brother and sister were her age and they would play in an area of Nancy’s garage that was set up like a kitchen. I was 3-4 years old during this time. My siblings and Nancy didn’t want my presence in their play area! So my Aunt would do things with me to keep me occupied and out of their hair! I was the baby and quite spoiled! They thought I was a brat and they were right! At family gatherings, they would dress me up and blindfold me, give me a hat and send me to pass the hat to the adults to get money. Then they would take the money! In my adult years, Nancy finally loved me and we had some good conversations! I will miss her until we meet again. My prayers are with Jimmy, Mark, Todd, Jodi and kids and their families. May God give you all peace during this time.
