

Norman Lynn Cunningham was born on November 9, 1934 in Beaumont, Texas to Norman Hamiter and Maurine Cunningham. He lived in Texas his whole life. It is where he met Anne, his wife of 52 years. Norman graduated from Texas Tech with a Bachelor’s and he continued on to Texas A&M to achieve his Master’s. He worked in the food industry as a meat technologist. Norman served in the Army as a radio operator and also served his community as a part of the Murphy, Texas Volunteer Fire Department from 1977 – 1984. Norman had many hobbies, including building train layouts, working on computers, and woodcrafting. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting, and just being outdoors. Norman is survived by his wife Anne, as well as his two daughters and their husbands: Cindy Stinson and husband James, and Kathleen Montgomery and husband Marc. Norman also leaves behind a large legacy of grandchildren: Christin Stinson, Jaimee Stinson Kirby, Corry Kirby, Andrew Stinson, Kaitlyn Stinson, Sascha Montgomery, Nicholas Montgomery, Madison Montgomery, Rory Montgomery and Piper Montgomery. In addition, his four-legged kids, Haley, Livy, and Molly, will miss him too. There will be a rosary held for Norman at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Wylie on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 7:30 PM. The Funeral Mass for Norman will also be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 10:00 AM, with a graveside service at 2 PM at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Operation Kindness in Norman’s name.
