

Patsy (Jackson) Standerfer, 87, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Westside Garden Plaza. She was born on May 7, 1929 in Ellis County, Texas to the late Thomas Benton and Grace Laverne (Hitt) Jackson. She married Howard Lee Standerfer on November 27, 1958.
Patsy grew up in Plano, Texas, lived in Chicago, IL for a short time and lived on the west side of Indianapolis since 2008. She was a 1947 graduate of Richardson High School. Along with being a homemaker, Patsy was a volunteer for the Republican Party. In 1995, she was named one of ten outstanding Republican Women for the State of Texas. She likes to stay current in her political views as she spent her adult life in the civic and political arenas. She also serviced on the library board for 10 years, was founder and board member of the Plano Heritage Association, and was past President of Plano Business and Professional Women's Club.
Patsy is survived by her granddaughter, Caroline Calloway, nieces and nephews, and special friends, Tracy and Rick Cornforth and Ron and Carol Cornforth. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Standerfer, and daughter, Susanne Standerfer.
