Pauline Edghill was born on April 19, 1936 in Panama City, Panama, to Edna Thomas Frances and Albert Coxx. She attended Jose Baldia School in Panama. She graduated from Licio de Senorita High School. After high school Pauline learned cake decorating, ceramics, sewing (making her sisters clothes), and was also a caretaker, among other things. She was an active member in her church, St. Christopher, where she was in the choir, and taught summer school.
Pauline met James H. Edghill in Panama and they soon married. After marriage they moved to Tacoma, Washington, where James was stationed in the US Army. They soon moved to Brooklyn, New York, where they resided for a number of years. Out of this union they had one son, James H Edghill III. They eventually moved to Deer Park, Long Island, NY. She attended St. Patrick's Church where she was an active member, and in the choir. Pauline was a hard worker. One of her first jobs in NY was in the meat department at Krasny's Supermarket in Brooklyn. She continued her education by going to Dental Technology School. Upon graduation, she got a job at Peninsula Hospital as a dental technician, where she worked for over 30 years. Simultaneously, she worked as a caretaker at Midway Nursing Home in Queens, NY for over 18 years.
Pauline retired in 1998 and she and her husband James moved to Allen, Texas. She was so active and friendly, she quickly had many friends. She loved hosting friends and family in her new home. She attended Christ Church in Allen, and was a very active member belonging to the choir, assisting in ministry, and holding small group bible study in her home.
Pauline loved to travel, and visited many places with friends and family. She was a very kind, affectionate and loving person. She loved dancing, singing, hosting parties and having a good time. Above all she loved her family. She never hesitated to offer her assistance when needed. She also loved cooking and baking. Everyone loved her fruit cake and waited for it's arrival during the holidays. She was well loved by anyone who came in contact with her.
Pauline left to mourn her husband, James H Edghill, whom she loved dearly, her son James H Edghill III (Ernestine), her grandson, Alexander James Edghill (AJ), 2 loving sisters, Dorothy and Zelma, 2 loving brothers, Leroy and Stanley, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her sister, Melida Segundo, and 2 brothers, Fernando Bramwell and Andy Stewart.
