Pete Tallas, Jr., age 71, passed away on November 10, 2011, in Plano, TX. He was born on January 26, 1940, in Kaufman, TX to Pete and Helen Tallas. He is survived by his loving wife, Polly; children, Derinda Patterson, Matt Tallas and fiancée Kellie, Leslie Roten and husband Rod; six grandchildren, Cane, Cole, Samantha, Matthew, Avery and Payton. Pete was a 1958 graduate of Grand Prairie High School, he was a proud veteran of the United States Army and was employed with Ford Motor Company for 38 years. Pete was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed. Funeral Service will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 3920 Samuell Blvd., Dallas, TX 75228 on Monday, November 14, 2011, at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be, Ronnie Trent, Dub Bell, Jack Clevinger, Bob Hey, Weldon Fincher and Bob Henderson. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
