He leaves behind a wife of 37 years, Maria (Sale) Marshall at home, and a stepson, Paul Burnham, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan.
Rob was born on October 1, 1959, in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, the son of Robert F. Marshall and Gale (Stitzer) Marshall who survive in Centre Hall, Pennsylvania.
Also surviving is a sister Susan Marshall and wife Pia Smal of State College, Pennsylvania, and a brother John Marshall and wife Carolyn of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania.
Rob graduated in 1977 from Penns Valley Area High School, and was a 1981 graduate of Penn State University with a B.S. degree in Operations Management. He was commissioned at that time as a 2nd Lt. in the U.S. Air Force. He served his country for 11 years with tours in Maine, Guam and Texas, and retired in 1992 as a Captain(Major Select). Following his military service he was employed in procurement at various positions with Dallas Area Rapid Transit, Nortel Networks, and Andrew Corporation, all in the Dallas area.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church of Centre Hall, Pennsylvania.
He was a kind and generous man. Some years ago he and his wife had a church built in a remote area of The Philippines which brought great joy to many residents of that region.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting (especially back in PA with family) and biking.
