Sally Pendergast

Sally C. Pendergast beloved Wife, Mother and “Gramma Tex” passed away February 2, 2018 surrounded by her family. Sally was born in Fairfield Iowa on November 29, 1924 to Charles and Alma Clarke. While she was in 6th grade her family moved to Southern California. She graduated from San Diego High School in 1942 and enrolled in Iowa State University where she graduated in 1946 with a degree in Food Science. She met and married the love of her life Edward F. Pendergast on September 1, 1945. Her first teaching position was in Zering Iowa and she ended her teaching career at Fulton Junior High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. She impacted many young minds during her 30 year in education. Sally was especially proud of her three children and their spouses. She and Ed traveled the world in their retirement.

Sally is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Alma Clarke, Sisters Harriet Bishop and Regina Hooker. She is survived by her husband of 73 years Edward; Son and Daughter in Law, Michael and Jodi Pendergast; Daughter and Son in Law Michael and Patricia Crouse; Son Thomas Pendergast and Grandchildren Samuel and Lucy Pendergast.
