Shirley Ann Murray

Shirley Murray, 75, of Plano TX passed away Monday, February 16 2015, with her family at her side. Shirley was born in Wyoming IL on June 1, 1939, to Dwain and Edna Price Hegwood. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked for many years as a school lunchroom manager for Plano Independent School District. After Shirley retired, she enjoyed quilting, crafts and cooking. She also volunteered with Meals-On-Wheels and in the church office. Shirley was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Plano TX., where she was actively involved in the United Methodist Women’s group and Quilt for Kids. Shirley is survived by her loving husband Keith Murray, whom she married on February 26, 1956. Shirley is also survived by her son Kevin, wife Yolanda, daughter Susan, and husband Jim Odom, son Steven, and wife Laura, all of Plano TX. Shirley also has six grandchildren; Andrea Hall Oliver (Tim), John Hall, Bill Murray, Apryl Murray, Taylor Murray, Steven Murray and one great grandchild, Clara Oliver. She is also survived by her brother, Bill (Doris) Hegwood of Camp Grove, IL, sister Mary (Ray) Kitterman of Princeville, IL, and many nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents. A service of the celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church, Plano TX.
