Stephen Elmer Lutz

Stephen E. Lutz was born on May 2, 1945 in Topeka, Kansas to Elmer Stephen Lutz and Bertha Florance Endress Lutz. His father was in the Air Force. They were stationed in various places such as Japan. His last duty station was in Fort Worth, TX where he retired with the rank of Major. They decided to stay in Texas after his retirement. Stephen's father went on to become a teacher and coach.

Steve went to the University of Texas of Arlington. Where he got a degree in accounting. While studying there he met his future wife Sylvia, who majored in Marketing. Steve was in ROTC in College. After they graduated, he went into the army. They got married on November 9, 1968. Their first station was Fort Hood. Six months later he went to Vietnam. When he came back home, they went to Fort Lewis in Washington. When they got out of the Army, they moved back to Texas to be near family. He got his CPA license and he, with the help of his wife Sylvia, started his own firm.

Steve and Sylvia were united in marriage for 56 years. They have a son James who married Marie Beal. They have three children. Chance who is in the Navy in Maryland. He is married to Hayley Shaw. They have a daughter Lealey, born in September 2024. Casidy is 21, she is working and plans to go to school. Lastly, Samantha who just finished the seventh grade.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jim Lutz, and his Kathi Fritz.

He is survived by his wife Sylvia, son James and Wife Marie, grandchildren Samantha, Casidy, Chance, his wife Haley and daughter Lealey.
