Susan Lea Caton

Susan Lea Caton of Allen, Texas, age 61 passed away after a lengthy illness on May 21, 2017. Susan was born on February, 15, 1956 in Lawton, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Clyde Robert McCreary and Arletta DeVere McCreary. She was raised in Ada, Oklahoma and graduated from Ada High School in 1974. She studied at East Central University in Ada. Susan married Jerry Don Caton on November 27, 1976. Susan worked as an Administrative Assistant / Receptionist for many years at Aruba Petroleum in Plano, Texas. She was a great mother, wife and friend. Susan loved knitting, crocheting, watching old T.V. Sitcoms, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in McKinney, Texas. Susan was preceded in death by her father Clyde Robert McCreary, grandparents Henry and Clara Mcjunkin, and grandparents Ernest and Stella McCreary. She is survived by husband Jerry Don Caton; sons, Jonathan Lee Caton age 38 , Benjamin Ryan Caton age 34 and wife Kathryn Lea Caton; mother, Arletta DeVere McCreary; brother, James Robert McCreary and Sister-in-law Phyllis McCreary; grandchildren, Leah Marie Caton and Brooke Ryann Caton, ages 5 and 3 respectively; nephew Matt McCreary and niece Jenny Reyher. Special thanks too Vicki Crooks Minister of First Christian Church of Ada, Oklahoma, Haven Health Care, Faith Hospice, and to the many friends that were there in her time of need.
