Susan Frances Post

Susie passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Chicago and moved to Dallas at the age of 2 and grew up as the oldest with 1 brother and 3 sisters. Attended St Pius X Catholic School and graduated from Bryan Adams High School. Susie spent her first two years of college at Paris Junior College and then graduated from Stephen F. Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. She spent years teaching in Dallas, Fort Worth, Milwaukee and Plano with the majority of the years spent at St Mark's Catholic Church Preschool. On August 1, 1969, Susie married James (Jim) and they were happily married for over 50 years. They raised 2 daughters, Amy (Christopher) Johnson and Sara (Matthew) Krumrai. Susie adored her 4 grandchildren, Vincent, Nicholas and Ava Johnson and Chloe Krumrai. After retiring from teaching, Susie loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren, traveling around the world, reading, doing word puzzles and spending time with friends. She will be dearly missed by many to include her 4 siblings: Patrick (Peggy) Green of Aurora, CO, Leslie (Scott) Threlkeld of Slidell, LA, Ginny Green of Slidell, LA and Becky Green of Dallas, TX, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends around the states. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Nancy Green. The family would like to thank the staff of Lynridge Memory Care Center and Reliant Hospice for the wonderful care that Susie received during her final months of illness.
