

Theresa Louise (Keithley) Heer, 69 of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away October 25, 2014 in Norman, Oklahoma.
Theresa was born in Durant, Oklahoma to Charles Henry Keithley and Jewell Elizabeth (Carter) Keithley on October 15, 1945. She studied English and played volleyball at Oklahoma Baptist University. Her then husband was an officer that was sent to Vietnam. Family minded, she organized a group of women called Military Waiting Wives who supported one another while their husbands served in the Vietnam War and volunteered in the community. Theresa was a beloved homemaker in Plano, Texas, where she sang in the St. Mark’s Community Catholic choir and enjoyed painting landscapes and floral on canvas with oils. She loved children and helped watch neighborhood children during the summers. Her house was always filled with love and laughter, and she will be missed by many.
Theresa is survived by her brother, Dr. James Keithley; son Charles Heer; son Michael Heer; daughter Madonna (Heer) Bauch; grandchildren CJ Bergeron, Lauren Migiliore, Grace Bauch, Henry Bauch, Charlotte Heer, and Alexander Heer; great grandchildren Mikaila, Liam, and Kaden. Theresa was preceded in death by her brother Melvin C. Keithley, her brother Dr. Charles E. Keithley, and her grandson Ryan Heer.
A wake will be held at Ted Dickey Funeral Home in Plano, Texas on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 3-5 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at St. Mark the Evangelist in Plano, Texas on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery. Ted Dickey’s Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Norman Regional Hospital’s Palliative Care Unit for their support and compassion in her final days. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
