To Ms Val’s family: I am so, so sorry for your loss! I’m a Walmart customer but Ms Val became my friend about 14 years ago. We shared our joys and sorrows. We prayed for each other’s families. She was so kind to my son since he was 8- he’s 22 now. She always asked about him when he was away at college as well as asking about my Dad and grandchildren. She was always happy & excited to see them in person. She was such a sweet lady! I was shocked and saddened to hear of her death. I’m sending prayers for peace to all of you!

This is a hard pill to swallow, especially with me being moved to another store and not seeing you since I left really hurts. I came to store #2926, 3 years ago and I remember the day when I met you,you were so kind and joyful, you reminded me so much of my grandma and thats what it felt like,I am so honored to have helped you when you needed it,listened when you talked to me and just being there to enjoy your company. You will truly be missed my Walmart grandma.

First and foremost my Condolences to Ms. Vale’s Family. I met miss Val while working at Walmart. She soon became my workplace mother when we realized we both were from the Bay Area. Her from Hayward and I from Oakland. Ever since that moment I treated her as if she was my mother. She was literally the only person allowed to call me Timmy. Her graceful and reluctant spirit will be missed. Her smile could light the most darkest days. I will miss Ms. Val and I thank God for allowing me share a moment in her life. She surely was an example of selfless stewardship.
