William (Bill) John Sullivan was born on June 13, 1936 in Madison, WI to Emil and Violet Sullivan. He went to be with our Lord on April 5, 2017. Bill grew up in Waukesha, Wisconsin with his sisters (Kay, Betty and Jackie) and his brother, Gene. He was preceded in death by his Mom, Dad, Step-dad (Lloyd) and all of his siblings.
Bill’s memory will forever be treasured by his devoted wife, Jeanette and daughters, Susan Carr (Kevin) and Lori Shisler (Breck); three grandchildren; Allison and Brian (Carr), Jackson (Shisler), and his beloved dog, Buddy. Bill is also survived by many, many nieces and nephews.
In his younger years, Bill enjoyed painting, throwing summer parties, and dancing. He worked in construction many years in Wisconsin before giving up the cold and relocating his family to Plano, Texas. Bill retired in 1997, but discovered he enjoyed staying busy, so he went back to work and finished his career with JC Penney’s in 2013.
Bill was a faithful member of Saint Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plano. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching golf with Jeanette, watching his beloved Green Bay Packers and collecting Packer memorabilia. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren; never missing a school concert, sporting event or playing chauffer.
A funeral mass to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12th at Saint Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plano, Texas. Immediately following the service, there will be a reception at the church to gather with family and friends.
