RICHARDSON, Abitha Ann “Abby”, 94, passed away on September 24, 2026 at South Florida Baptist Hospital. She was surrounded by her children and family members. She was born on March 24,1932 in Elfers, Florida. She graduated from Tarpon Springs High School where she was the Senior Class Vice President, Cheerleader, Drama Club, Band & Glee Club Member, & Class Treasurer for two years.
She held several memorable jobs throughout her life to include a Weeki Wachee Mermaid, and Maas Brothers Model. She also owned and operated an Arthur Murray Dance Studio where she taught students ballroom dancing and put on recitals. She later worked for the Temple Terrace Police Department and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office before finding her true passion in real estate.
She loved her career in real estate and the people she met along the way. She never met a stranger. To know her was to love her. She enjoyed singing and dancing and cheering for the Tampa Bay Rays and being an advocate for President Donald Trump. Above all, she loved her family and always said they were her true legacy.
Abby was preceded in death by her parents Otto & Johnie Ulmer and her late husband’s Robert Richardson and Paul Davis Sr. Her sisters; Mary Lou Thomas and Barbara Gaffney, son Terry Davis and daughter Mary Jo Fields.
She is survived by her brother Otto “Buddy” Ulmer, and two daughters: Helene Nunez (Randy) and Paula Meyers (Brent), three sons; Bill Davis (Kathy), Paul Davis (Sheryl), and Teddy Davis (Janice). She is additionally survived by 22 Grandchildren Will Davis (Amber), Steven Davis (Ericka), Cassie McClelland (Rhett), Evan Dell (Abigail), Jeremy Davis (Mandi), Ashley Galloway (Rob), Morgan Fields (Jarred), Erin Blackwell (Jay), Amanda Villemarette (Clay), Jennifer Gonzalez, Rachel Ingle (Travis), Magan Davis (Dominik), TJ Davis (Sharon) Paige Davis, Hayley Jo Chase (Trey), Jay Lee Meyers (Kaitie), Kayla Ballentine (Jon), Lorna Martin (Brady), Alanah Gossard (Chris), Justin Davis, Lauren Brunson (Mel), Samantha Lovelace (Nate), and 55 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
She truly enjoyed her last several years living at Grace Manor at Hunters Creek where Stacey, Carla, Heather, Christina, and Sheryl made her feel like family. She was delighted to be voted Valentine Queen this year at Grace Manor and showing off her numerous medals from the Grace Manor Olympics.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, October 10th at First Baptist Church Dover, 3223 Gallagher Road, Dover, Fl. 33527. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon, followed by her Celebration of Life at noon. A graveside service will follow at Hopewell Memorial Gardens, 6005 S County Road 39, Plant City, Fl. 33567.
