Tonight I sit in silence and peace with the memories of Anthony my sweet 3rd son.  I’ll always think of him this way.  What a sweet, loving, considerate, respectful child he always will be.  He was always welcome in my home and I always loved him being here.
 I will miss his bear hugs and his laughs. Anthony we are crying for you here on earth because,  we miss you sweet boy but, the angels are singing in heaven because, you are there.  Please, make a special room in your mansion for me.  I love you and you will forever have a place in my heart.  I’ll see you soon at heavens gate because,  I know you will be waiting there for me with a big hug!!   Have fun fishing until I can join you.

First things first I just wanna say how much love I had for bruh. We went to college and played ball together.  We were both thousands of miles from our friends and family doing what made us happy. In no time we became friends and not long after, we became family. Outside of my family its not too many people I done broke bread with and lived with. Moon brothers for life. Looks like i gota take double shots from now on. One for you and one for me.  Always Loved and Never forgotten. Until we meet again bruh.

Thank you for all the love, support and memories that I will always cherish. I’ve been laughing and smiling for days just thinking about all the good times we’ve had.

I am grateful for the privilege of being Anthony’s “Dude’s “ grandmother. He was born at my house, so I, along with his parents , welcomed him into the world and fell in love with him,  Few knew or loved him at that time, but this very special one has acquired a lot of love with his life or dash between Dec..14, 1987 — Aug. 23, 2020.  Dude is loved and will be so missed by all who knew him.
  When a family member or close friend dies, our pain and grief can be unbearable.  We feel helpless, for there is nothing we can do to bring them back to life ( not for one more day or even a last hug.)
  I look forward to welcoming him into a very different world in the future resurrection promised by Jesus Christ at John 5:28,29.  That difference is described at Revelation 21:4  “And He (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. I didn't get to know Dude as well as I now wish I had. I have  much love for his mother and appreciation for my family at large. My heart goes out to Tan, Anthony,  Sharla, and Kaysee. Dude will be missed. It is amazing how much he favored Bubba!

I miss you cuz/bro. Thank you for looking out for me back in high school. You were always my cool big cousin and when I got to Jefferson everybody seemed to know Dude. Like a real big brother would you made it easy for a freshman in an unfamiliar place to feel comfortable. I’m so glad you randomly drove by me and AB and stopped to show us love. You said you had to stop when you seen two of your favorite people (“negas”) then we all talked for a minute and expressed love for each other before going our separate ways. I feel like you knew but I wish I would have said it then, you are one of my favorite people too.

Dude Luke Moon, my brother from day one. It was haven sent that brought our two families together. It seemed like yesterday we was running late for school leave chasing female in the hallway. Through life ups and downs I could always count on you to have my back. I mean you literally took a bullet for me from that day on I told you I never put you in harm's way again. Dude, Anthony Lawrence Jones, my nephew watchman; to me you will remain so hilarious, so serious, so amazing in many ways.  Your love for God, family and friends becomes clearer each day and I am thankful for your life. So….you became ‘That Dude’:								      			        That Dude has always been unconventional. You came into the world the same way you left, sudden and unexpected. Your given name is, Anthony Lawrence Jones Jr. but you have many names to so many people.  		                                                                                         That Dude shines bright and his presence fills the room. His smile, his laughter, his love, his loyalty, his stature, his personality makes him unforgettable.  That Dude loves to pray and has healing hands for the hurting and the sick.

That Dude--so loving, hugs so tight as he slathers loved ones with sloppy kisses on the cheek all the while, flashing that golden grill smile. 													        That Dude loves children, the elderly and his family.  He’s the neighborhood watchman. 			                                                         That Dude’s gift of gab and perception to “see the unseen” aids his ability to cultivate deep personal relationships including bonds with animals. I met Anthony aka my gentle giant aka Tiny as I named him in 2016. I was sitting at the park by myself right at dark and out of nowhere Anthony pops up.
I looked at him and said you are the biggest black man coming up on my smallest white behind in this park. But I ain't scared I am big and you are Tiny.

From that day on he was my gentle giant Tiny and I was his tiny Giant.

When I saw this poem I thought of you....... As the moon begins to brighten at night, know that I miss you when I look upright.... I still remember when I first met Anthony. We played basketball together in the city league. It didn’t take long before we became best friends. Anthony had a uniquely kind and funny personality that made it easy and fun to be his friend. He would come over to my house and we would fish for hours on end. We could sit in that boat and laugh all day. I will forever cherish our memories and he will always be in my heart. 

To my big brother, I cannot express how much I am missing you daily. It is so hard to accept this reality. However, I am glad to call you my first best friend before we made best friends of our own. I remember how you use to aggravate me and I steady snitching on you constantly! It puts a smile on my face every time I see your beautiful smile light up the room and your spectacular personality! You are truly a rare Gem and there is no one like you. I am going to truly miss you, but I will forever treasure our memories. For ever in my heart, I love you Dude!
